Teaching Your Child How To Read

As a reading teacher for 14 years, it is important to listen to the words your child uses. You can use these words to create custom books. When the child sees you modeling how to write the words he or she has spoken, this will help the child make a connection between reading and writing. So this summer, when you are wanting your child to read books, make sure that you create some books using the child's words.

Some blank books that your child will enjoy using.  My first graders loved creating their own books and enjoyed blank paper bound by colored construction paper. You can have a more published look with these blank books!
